Emendo text editor and Taeni terminal emulator, instead of KeyFile for saving settings will use GLib.Settings
http://valadoc.org/#!api=gio-2.0/GLib.Settings
For Emendo that means file $HOME/.config/emendo/config.ini will not be used, per-user settings will be stored in binary format file $HOME/.config/dconf/user and it's possible with dconf-editor to change configurations even when program is not running.
You can always type: packer -S emendo or packer -S taeni
to get latest mercurial versions of those programs directly from bitbucket.
