Sim, how come $TERM environment variable doesn't point to taeni?

is there another way to detect default terminal?

Setting $TERM to something else seems to F*** up system

It was used previously when sakura was default terminal. I don't think anything needs it. And it's probably better to not put question dialogs and messages in a terminal.
