glibc debuginfo

Postby Scooby » 10 Mar 2014, 20:33

Is there a way to make glibc with debuginfo

I tried to run valgrind for finding memoryleaks in program but couldn't due to no debuginfo in glibc.
Couldn't find separate package for debuginfo?

Could you make it?
Perhaps in chroot jail as in build of alphaos with no strip in makefile?
then perhaps repackage and put in /modules dir and when rebooted
this glibc would shadow out the one in alpha_14.sb?

any comments?

You can run makesb glibc, then answer y to load, and glibc.sb will be loaded on top with higher priority than system bundle so valgrind will work after.
