I know this is tough, but I will ask.. has someone tried to install (on sb or a permanent save-file) nvidia proprietary drivers?
For example, I would need 340 branch,
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extr ... 0xx-utils/
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverRe ... 5165/en-us
(I am using it successfully on manjaro linux from its special kernel/driver install tools).
I had also success on an old fatdog64 with the corresponding sfs package.
I guess i have to recompile some kernel parts if possible here, but again any kernel upgrade in future versions would conflict. I am facing an old unsolved nouveau bug, not allowing to use a second monitor on every distro.
I guess a corresponding sb file could do it, but it could be hard to make it (and of course hard to keep it updated). I would be ok with an LTS kernel and this driver, no need to upgrade often for me.
PS:I would like to see an LTS alphaos version
