No opengl out of the box?

Postby Anniekin » 11 Nov 2014, 23:42

GPU drivers and mesa libs seem to be all there

No errors in Xorg.log.0 except a warning of missing acpi

I'm getting
glxgears
Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
glxinfo
Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual or fbconfig

no xorg.conf but I have in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d

20-intel.conf # For fixing screen tearing
50-synaptics.conf # For touchpad

20-intel.conf contains

Code: Select all

Section "Device"
   Identifier  "Intel Graphics"
   Driver      "intel"
   Option      "AccelMethod"  "sna"
   Option "TearFree" "true"
EndSection1

OK, I investigated a bit further. The 32-bit libraries were installed when I
installed wine. So when I unloaded wine.sb all the 32-bit mesa stuff no longer installed, only as seen below.

glxgear and glxinfo still works and are 64-bit executables.

Code: Select all

extra/glu 9.0.0-3 [installed]
    Mesa OpenGL Utility library
extra/mesa 10.3.2-1 [installed]
an open-source implementation of the OpenGL specification
extra/mesa-demos 8.2.0-3 [installed]
    Mesa demos and tools
extra/mesa-dri 10.3.2-1 [installed]
    Mesa DRI drivers
extra/mesa-libgl 10.3.2-1 [installed]
    Mesa 3-D graphics library
