Try this

For freezes:
Are you using same savefile or .sb's from previous version?

For makesb problem with alphaos 16 checkout

No. It was a brand new install. it froze even when booted from CD=ROM.

Do you have the devel bundle file as well?

Thanks Scooby, as always. Without you, this place is dead.

the older versions should be made available including the only 32bit version.

Scooby, do you know if this alphaos supports dual xeon CPU PCs? I am using it on a Dell precision T5500 with dual Xeon 5620 CPU with 24G RAM and Nvidia 2000 graphic card. It only shows one CPU on the system status? I hope it utilizes both CPUs. I am also not sure if there is a driver to native support the graphic card (with CUDA).

thanks again

I don't know.

It should be supported with the new kernel, The old alphaos's worked right.

nvidia native driver I thin you have to install yourself

Conky shows global CPU usage, for detailed per core usage you can use something else, for example htop.
