efi-stub support

Postby anonymous2 » 24 Sep 2014, 23:49

Is there any special reason why the default iso doesn't come with EFISTUB support?
Im asking because I recompiled the kernel for this.
UEFI systems are not that rare anymore after all, and not everybody wants to use a stock bootloader...

I think it was never fully developed and only ndrancs got something working I believe
He has been absent for a while though

I aint got UEFI myself so I cannot test it but I would welcome UEFI support for alphaOS

If you have a working iso could you please write up a tutorial for how to build alphaOS that way

What are the size difference between BIOS and UEFI versions?

Are there any complications regarding install procedure?

I suggest you pm Simargl with UEFI suggestion
