LAMP Server on alphaOS

Postby rgb1 » 28 Aug 2014, 22:52

Hey, I have been trying to set up a lamp server on alphaOS, however I am unable to start the mysql daemon with sytemctrl, which returns this error

Code: Select all

Failed to get D-Bus connection: Unknown error -1

After doing a little research I came across a line of code that would show the init script in charge of booting the system(or something along that line).

Code: Select all

# ps -p 1 -o comm=

This line of code returns 'init'.
From what I read, in order for dbus to work correctly that line of code should return 'systemd'.
Any Idea how to solve this?

alas alphaOS includes systemd but actually uses sysVinit
I believe it is not easy to set up alphaos to use systemd instead

Maybe there is some other workaround, I don't know?
