Sim, I got the bug

Postby Scooby » 23 Aug 2014, 19:57

guess_fstype program missing on newer versions of alphaos

Was originally intended to be replaced by fstype of toybox but
alphos reverted to busybox again and I guess it was forgotten

Is used in /etc/rc.d/functions--->mount_all_partitions()

source availible here
http://bkhome.org/sources/alphabetical/g/

login with
user: puppy
passwd: linux

You have to intall dietlibc from repo to compile it
since it is installed by default in opt some adjustment was needed
to make it work

a .sb file with the compiled executable is here

it seems it is statically linked so should be OK to move

Code: Select all

> file /usr/bin/guess_fstype
/usr/bin/guess_fstype: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), statically linked, BuildID[sha1]=c0227f1970729e817d3e67af79467cca15dc3b29, stripped

It was a bug, yes, but I've now removed that line, guess_fstype is needed no more:
