Re: systemctl: Failed to get D-Bus connection

about: "failed to start create volatile files and directories"
From feodora:
The problem of systemd-tmpfiles failure at boot time has been around for years
.

I would look into /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/
maybe try to remove some( or all files, back them up in case they are needed? )

as I said before I aint interested in nesting up systemd myself so
can only play an advisory role for you

Tell me exactly were you are starting slim from and what command, I'll try it here without Vbox
and see if I get the same

You know dbus is started as a deamon in rc.sysinit (/etc/rc.d/functions). Are you running slim before or after?

remember slim needs systemd-login, is it running on your system?

this is way to complex now, im just going to edit .xinitrc so i can switch between WMs.

aahhh!! why!!! :cry: . SLiM just had to go ahead and mess everything up. i disabled & uninstalled it then proceeded reboot. then it hangs at reached target graphical interface.
~~~~~~~~edit~~~~~~~~~~~
I guess this isnt such a bad thing because i can continue to tty with alt+F2 or alt+F3. from here i login to root or alpha. Then i use "alphaosx" or "xinit awesome" to reach the window manager. Also dbus seems to work now :) . but connman doesnt start
