Sakura is in Arch repository, so no need to build it from AUR

to make it default, you'd need to edit menu.xml and rc.xml two config files for openbox

and then replace laucher for tint2

Still watching by the sidelines until I get a 64bit system :( .
Nevertheless, I tried Audacious and its a keeper here.
Cheers.

grub4dos fails with errors in 14.2(cd) and 14.1(usb) while installing 14.2 to usb

first error message:
"some components are lacking to perform this function:/usr/lib/grub4dos/chain.c32"
then continued and ended with this:
"somewhat error occured.
see /usr/bin/grub4dosconfig.log"

grub4dosconfig.log:

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/grub4dosconfig PBS
version 1.8.9
Sat Dec 14 23:03:01 CET 2013
Writing... /mnt/sdb1/menu.lst
Installing grldr ...
'/usr/lib/grub4dos/grldr' -> '/mnt/sdb1/grldr'
cp: cannot stat '': No such file or directory
Failed to install extlinux.

then used 12.3 install to successfully install bootloader

I'm not against if someone is ready to make 32bit version, only I will not do it.
If there is interest for that version, I can help if needed through PM.

Audacios is smaller, and has some useful plugins like extra stereo

I've tried now and successfully installed version 14.2 to usb from frugal installation on hard disk.
Noticed one error, gui reported usb size to be 19KB.

ok backtracked and the problem seems to occur when i click 'show PBS' and select sdb1 instead
of sdb(37kb?),(partitioned sdb1,sdb2 both ext4)
so as long as i dont do that, it works fine..

About 14.2

1.)
when starting frisbee I get

sh: pidof: command not found
/usr/bin/gettext.sh: line 53: envsubst: command not found

Seems all dependencies are not installed, gettext not properly installed?
I can find it in system but program cannot?

pidoff is in sysvinit-tools

it doesnt break anything but wondering if you are gonna add it or should I put it in
my marv savelayer?

*edit*
Looks like envsubst is in devel14_sb? Is that good?

2.)
suggestion:
Makesb detect if packer loaded or not and display message urging user to load devel_14.sb

3.)
Problem with makesb ( worked in earlier version) ?

makesb skype2-staticqt
/usr/bin/makesb: line 26: [: ==: unary operator expected
==> Cleaning packages cache
==> Downloading skype2-staticqt
Dependency `lib32-fontconfig' of `skype2-staticqt' does not exist.

Maybe just that multilib repo is not activated?

4.) Why does spacefm insist on mounting my usb read only?
This is probably a feature but how can you change it?

5.) Sometimes taeni doesnt print correct

ls
bash: $'\303ls': command not found

[root@alphaos ~]# echo $PATH
/usr/bin

Still not happy about headerbars and taeni

Will keep testing and complaining ;) ;) ;) ;)

@Scooby
pidof is covered by busybox,
dont know if this is the correct way but a quick fix might be to put a symlink in /usr/bin pointing to busybox

taeni: doesnt work with the "+somecommand" in spacefm address box. launches blank..
