version 17.3

[Scooby]

Version 17.3 is built using packages from Arch rollback machine on date 2015/08/25, and uses kernel 4.1.6

This is update contains a number of fixes most notably a stable version of vdev.

See change-list and bug reports there.

known issues:

* peasywifi and ethernet not tested, peasywifi is in for a full overhaul when time present it self.

The config dir of peasywifi is missing to fix do ine of the following

a) Create directory with

b) Download this bundle for fix

If alphaOS installed frugal put peasywifi_fix.sb in modules/ directory

That is looking really good! Been a lot of work put down for it.

all hardware good, that is great news - I'm happy

The boot time is a bit worrying. I am working with an idea
along the lines of a semi-static /dev with vdev as hotplugger
I think this fits a setup with AUFS

No that is standard, I got exactly the same

I actually went back and checked connman again but to much a blackbox for me.
I will put in time to make a good peasywifi version for alphaOS as the next project.
It seems peasywifi is in a stable state upstream so now is a good time to port it.

PeasyWifi doesn't work. It cannot write its config files. This bug still remains in 17.3 from 17.2

alphaos_17.3-20160202-x86_64 PeasyWiFi 3.4 saved a profile properly after I created the /network-wizard/wireless/wpa_profiles folders inside /etc

It was a known issue and I thought I fixed it in the 17.3 version of alphaos.
Apparently not.

Should probably release a fix just for that.

Sup,

Not sure if anyone is around anymore but finally got a new PC and the chance to install version 17

I burned the ISO to USB using dd bs=4M if=/mnt/home/apps/alphaos/alphaos_17.3-20160202-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sdb && sync

It boots to the terminal login:root where openbox is supposed to kick in but keeps resetting there

I don't get the # to type any commands
