I 've never tried of course But if it works with fatdog it should play nice with AUFS About building a LTS alphaOS that should be feasible at least as far as recompiling kernel but I don't know what you mean in regard to backporting updates and so, That would be your own job then I guess. roughly counted 20secs from vdev start to desktop -- half what it was.. so yeah.. needs something.. Yeah mine is more like 52s, i think udev is like 15-20s, right? vdev seems a little faster at startup..
