Re: Wireless connection in 7.0

After comparing both kernel-config files, I'd say it's not the crypto config in the kernel.
So I guess you can keep it in the todo list but I'm afraid it's not gonna make any difference... :(

Re: Wireless connection in 7.0

So if I understand correctly, some supposedly needed modules were not included, right? If so, where do we find out which modules need to be included for wifi? Cheers Edit: here is the list for alphaOS 7 [root@alphaos modules]# cat /etc/modules/DOTconfig-3.9.1 | grep -i CRYPTO CONFIG_BLK_DEV_CRYPTOLO...

Re: How to change kernel

Still regarding cpu fans not working properly and inducing to cpu overheating, I found many remarks about an issue with sandy bridge and ivy bridge that looks just like this. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1234775#p1234775 That issue still hasn't been solved and was introduced after ker...

Re: Wireless connection in 7.0

Still about 8 and wifi: I have been looking at my wpa log file and I found this "failed to set ptk to the driver". Googling this message I always find people talking about crypto not being enabled in the kernel. Check this topic - http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-823135-start-0.html Se...

Absolutely :).
Love the new feel.
If only we could change its looks to mimic Arch's wiki colors.

Interesting.
Today we had two IRC visitors, 'tester_' and 'rabel' though they didn't say anything.

Re: IRC - #alphaos at Freenode

Yea, I know arch uses mediawiki and I know the advantages of dokuwiki against mediawiki (plain text files:)).
But most of these softwares rely on styles/themes that usually can be tweaked as per our needs.

Re: IRC - #alphaos at Freenode

Version 9? Typo, right? I've been using it half the time between win7/slacko/alphaOS7 on two computers. Actually a 3rd of the time. :D Basically just a lot of experimenting. I really want alphaOS to work on my hardware lol. If I solve the cpu fan issues I will surely start using it 80% while using w...
