Re: version 17.1

if you check source vdevd/main.c line 73 // do we need to connect to syslog? if( strcmp( vdev.config->logfile_path, "syslog" ) == 0 ) { vdev_debug("%s", "Switching to syslog for messages\n"); vdev_enable_syslog(); } seems like it tries to turn on syslog and in libvdev/u...

Re: version 17.1

i don't understand how to redirect log on syslog with vdevd. could you please tell me how to do that? I don't know how straight off the top of my head, I've never done it. I'll check though and if I find something I'll report back. If you test anything more with vdev I urge you to recompile with th...

Re: version 17.2

PeasyWifi doesn't work for me also. It cannot write its config files. It is though finds the wifi and detects broadcasted signals. It cannot connect to them. OK, Could it be because basedir is not created before? could you try mkdir -p /etc/network-wizard/wireless/wpa_profiles and then try write it...

Re: version 17.1

i'm under a project called obarun-server providing all the necessary to make a OS for server maintenance, (apache, php, ldap and so one) with runit for service manager and webmin for interface configuration. Vdev for me would be a great deal on it :) Sounds good man, I'll head over and check it out

Re: nvidia proprietary drivers (and LTS kernels)

Tried it https://www.dropbox.com/s/57baedey60sz1oj/nvidia-340.96-1-x86_64.pkg.tar?dl=1 notes: 0. Could make a bundle out of that pkg by running arch2sb in the same directory as it 1. It is built with nvidia-340xx-utils this pkg is listed as depends so I think you have to install it 2. It is built wi...

Re: version 17.2

PeasyWifi doesn't work for me at all. The configuration files are never written, therefore I can never choose the "created" profile and get access to my router. The older alphaos versions came with conman and it was a breeze to use, for me it worked 100% of the time. I kind of got that yo...
