is it a problem if iso grows? iso could be reaching 200MB boundary soon

No problem for me if we have around that size with more functionality.

Did you have a look at peasywifi?

Well ... yes. That was when puppy was my main distro. Like I said, I have no objection if its adopted here. Besides, it has got a better gui and more tweaking power.

Re: Next version of alphaos

Hmm... I will prefer connman to others as I haven't had any need to change. The only downside is perhaps its less tweaking options. But then I can easily tweak alphaos to my needs so not a big deal if the majority opt for a replacement. Too bad sim has to leave so hastily :( I hope he will be around...

Re: Version 16.x Final has been released

Thanks for V16 sim :D . Writing from it now. Love the new launcher. Any way to show only favorites? The new rollback date is a big relieve as I can now install latest software without bothering to tinker with dependencies and symlinks.
Cheers.

Re: New web site

I've started working on the new iso, with kernel 3.17.1 and arm date 2014/10/25, ...

That will be most welcome :D. More grease to your coding elbows ;)

Cheers.

The new site looks nice. Looking forward to a new iso possibly, with a recent rollback date too :)

Re: ALphaos.usb?????How???

Grub in alphaos 15.3 has set alphaOSDir=/alphaos right at the top. This implies the system automatically looks for files only from that directory which is obviously on a hard disk. So far, I haven't found a way to boot an USB install from grub. It was quite easy with Grub4Dos in the older releases o...

Re: COntrol VOlume, Where is it?

For HDMI sound to work, you may try un-muting all S/PDIF entries in alsamixer by pressing the letter "m" in each case, like below:
Use tab key to access S/PDIF if it is not seen on the first screen of alsamixer.

Cheers.

Re: alphaOS 15.0 - 15.3

Writing from V15.3 right now :) Looks sleeky with the new tint2 and conky themes. Any way for the user to add more conky themes if so desired? simargl wrote: Yes still same ARM date like in all 15.x versions. No problem. Hope the next version will come with a newer ARM date though. ;) Cheers for a g...
