Scooby, I am a bit worried about AlphaOS. As it stands right now, AlphaOS 16.1 was launched in 2014 and doesn't allow updates. It is my assumption that you are taking the time to make some changes to the way the system works before making your 1st release. But right now AlphaOS is very outdated and ...
Sorry to barge in with a different subject but this seems to be the wishlist topic. I would like to see some improvement regarding laptop usability. Would be great to: - have a battery meter on systray - have visual confirmation when AC/DC gets connected or disconnected - have a cpu-governor GUI/wid...
Sometimes difficult times like this can also present themselves as opportunities. simargl has been a good pal but he never showed much interest in involving more people in the project. He is leaving the project but that's not a reason for being sad or to loose interest in alphaos. This can open the ...
Okay so 1 vote for keeping connman, need at least one more not to switch. Not quite. I just said that I've been told by many people that connman is the best network manager out there but I honestly can't tell if it's true or not. And I didn't say that I was opposed to change ;) I have a bad experie...
1. I don't know peasywifi but from what I've heard connman is the best out there. Too bad connman-gtk-ui is so awful :( 2. I don't know...packer has been in the heart of alphaos for a long time. :S What exactly is the reason to change to apacman? 3. Icecat as a bundle would be very welcome. Too bad ...
Hi simargl. We could easily see that this was coming our way Hopefully you will allow Scooby to keep maintaining the project. By the way, what exactly made you stop? What OS will you be using from hereon? Thanks for all your hard work. Cheers
Hi Scooby, First of all, thanks for your reply on the matter. I have tested with swap on a pendisk and it still doesn't solve the problem. Every minute the disk will wake up and go to sleep 10 or 15 seconds later. I mean, it's not mathematical but it does seem to work in that way. There are dozens o...

Excellent. Nothing like a system up-to-date. Say, why don't you ever comment our posts regarding our concerns over alphaos's future?
I share that eerie feeling, Maybe sim would be more inclined to stay on if alphaos got more followers? I honestly don't know. For starters, he seems to be more comfortable the way it is right now, managing the project all by himself. Which he still could do even if we had dozens of developers here....
